Edmodo enables teachers to create digital

tasks and generate digital classroom

discussions so that classroom learning can

integrate into anytime learning.  Students can

access their classwork via any internet enabled device, and also via Apps for iPhone and Droid.  I have used it to get students in touch with authentic language learning and remediation material.  I have found it to be a good source of engaging ideas from other teachers in my content area.  There is a steady stream of resources available from other educators like myself.

Student or parent groups register individually and anonymously to the text message distribution list and VOILA! Suddenly students remember to do their homework, bring

their books, or get that parent signature. 

No one sees anyone else's phone number,

and messages can be scheduled ahead of time so you don't forget over the weekend or accidentally send a reminder during class.
